Early in 2013,
My wife and I were travelling through to the mallee of Victoria, when we decided to have a two night stopover in Edenhope at the Edenhope Tourist Park.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the park managers, who made us feel most welcome and did whatever they could to make sure that the powered site they had given us was what we needed. As we approached our site, there was one of the staff waiting to guide us in and to make sure we didn't need any help. The park although dry, was neatly presented and well maintained and the amenities were clean and welcoming.
Our two night stay eventually went into several weeks and in that time we experienced firsthand the friendliness of the staff, who always made sure that we had everything we wanted. A top park and a great place to unwind and have some great R and R. – Peter & Sue.
What a pleasant location and caravan site. We never cease to be amazed at the friendly town, the facilities that are found there, and above all, the honest and energetic owner / managers of the Park. – Ian & Helen Miller.
Dear Edenhope Lakeside Tourist Park,
Thank you so much for the wonderful weekend at Edenhope Lakeside Tourist Park We had a really great time – Jane Williams.
A warm thank you to Edenhope Lakeside.
We have just spent a wonderful 5 nights at the Lakeside CP (Caravan Park). The staff were most welcoming from the outset and so friendly and helpful for the duration of our stay. The CP (Caravan Park) is well appointed and at a lovely location beside Lake Wallace and just a short walk to all town facilities.
The adequately serviced sites are well spaced with some offering shade and all are easy, with staff help, to get into. Nothing is a problem for the owner/managers and they are always available to answer a tourist query and for a friendly chat.
The 2 amenities blocks are extremely clean as is the small camp kitchen and activities room. In the past our daughter and son-in-law have stayed in the cabins and found them very comfortable and clean.
The staff make you feel really "at home". Well done to you both and yes we will be back.
Peter, Jan and KipPS: Thanks for the New Years eve BBQ and for organising the friendly get together with our fellow travellers.
Just stayed there over new year and had a great stay, park is the best I've seen for a long time. Thank you all – Jean Munro
This is how caravan parks should be run:
Scrupulously clean, nice lush grassy sites with shady trees and tidy gardens rather than dusty muddy sites as is the norm.
Clean ablutions with fresh floor mats supplied in a rack, a shoe polishing station complete with nugget and brushes, pictures hanging on the wall and an ornament here and there. And would you believe showercaps and a table with chair and a mirror for the ladies, so I'm told.
A camp kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and even a drip coffee maker. Look underneath the bench behind the curtains and you'll find racks and racks of pots, pans, crockery and so on.
Outside there are three gas BBQ, one portable and two built ins.
Go up to the front desk and be greeted by a nice, friendly lady who smiles, thanks you for your patronage and wishes you a nice day.
And all this is right on the shores of Lake Wallace where you can fish, swim, boat and yacht. A great park we will definitely be back.
Such a shame this ia rarity rather than the norm.
No relationship with the park or owners, just an astounded customer.
Six stars out of five! - Tony Hothersall.
